Anchor New York, a social enterprise transforming how cities care for their most vulnerable.
About our organisation
Through our digital platform, Anchor Connect, we link shelters, healthcare providers, employers, and microfinance partners to create a unified ecosystem of compassion. Our goal is simple — to make dignity, stability, and inclusion accessible to everyone.
Our vision
To build the compassion infrastructure of modern cities — where no one sleeps without dignity, safety, or belonging.
Anchor New York envisions a world where compassion is not an emergency reaction but an embedded civic system — as essential to a city as its power grid or public transport.
We believe the strength of a city lies not in its skyscrapers but in its capacity to care, include, and restore.
Our vision goes beyond traditional charity.
We are designing a permanent ecosystem of care — one that connects people, institutions, and technology to ensure that help is structured, sustainable, and measurable.
In this model, every dollar of goodwill becomes a unit of infrastructure, every act of compassion becomes a data point, and every human life touched strengthens the city itself.
We aim to make New York the world’s first Compassion Infrastructure City, demonstrating how a united framework of shelter, healthcare, work, and community reintegration can be scaled globally.
Through our digital platform, Anchor Connect, we will enable every partner — from hospitals and corporations to faith institutions and volunteers — to contribute meaningfully and transparently.
By 2030, Anchor New York seeks to establish The Anchor Foundation — a self-sustaining network that redefines how cities invest in social good:
- Where technology measures empathy,
- Finance fuels dignity, and
- Communities grow resilient through shared humanity.
We see cities of the future not as centers of commerce alone, but as ecosystems of compassion — connected, transparent, and kind by design.
Our goals
Anchor New York’s goal is simple yet transformative — to build the compassion infrastructure of cities.
We’re creating a connected ecosystem where shelters, healthcare providers, employers, and donors work together through one digital platform — Anchor Connect — to restore dignity, opportunity, and stability for everyone in need.
By 2028, we aim to make New York the world’s first Compassion Infrastructure City, where no one sleeps without safety or belonging. Our programs will provide housing, medical care, job training, and interest-free micro-loans to more than 5,800 individuals, while ensuring 80% long-term reintegration into stable lives.
Each dollar invested in Anchor New York will generate at least four times its value in measurable social impact (SROI 4:1) — through self-sustaining programs and transparent reporting powered by technology.
Our long-term vision extends beyond one city. By 2030, we will launch Anchor Chapters in other urban centers, train leaders through The Anchor Academy, and publish the Global Compassion Index, ranking cities by inclusion and empathy.
Our mission is not just to serve — it’s to redesign how cities care, measure compassion, and sustain dignity for generations to come.
The Problem We’re Solving
Urban cities like New York are systems of opportunity — but also systems of exclusion.
Every night, over 60,000 people face homelessness or housing insecurity in the city. Thousands struggle with mental health challenges, unemployment, and lack of access to finance, even while billions of dollars in social resources go unused or uncoordinated.
The problem isn’t a lack of compassion — it’s a lack of connection.
Services exist, but they’re fragmented. Shelters don’t talk to hospitals. Hospitals don’t talk to job networks. Donors and CSR programs can’t see where their help goes or how it performs.
The result? Duplication, inefficiency, and lives slipping through the cracks.
The city has empathy — but no infrastructure for compassion.
How We’re Resolving It
Anchor New York is building the world’s first Compassion Infrastructure System — powered by a digital platform called Anchor Connect.
Through this integrated ecosystem, we unite beneficiaries, partners, and donors under one transparent framework.
Here’s how it works:

Our Solution
Our Promise
For every USD 1 invested, we deliver USD 4 in measurable social value — turning compassion into a sustainable public good.
By 2028, Anchor New York will serve 5,800 individuals, build a network of 50+ partner institutions, and become the model for how cities can transform empathy into efficiency.
We don’t just help people survive — we help cities learn how to care better, together.
